Master Distiller Jimmy Bedford retires March
31,2008
Jimmy Bedford stepped down as Master Distiller for the Jack Daniel's Distillery
March 31,2008 after holding that position for 20 years. He started working for the distillery in 1968 under the tutelage
of then master distiller Frank Bobo. When Frank retired in 1988 Jimmy took over as the sixth master distiller at Jack Daniel's. On
behalf of the MMTS I would like to congratulate Mr. Bedford on his outstanding career and wish him the best in retirement.
Jack Daniel's names Jeff Arnett as New Master Distiller.
Arnett,41,is a native Tennessean and will become only the seventh Master Distiller
in the company's history.

1981 Gold Medal Decanter
The new 1981 Gold Medal Decanter is available now in Minnesota.This
bottle celebrates the 1981 Institut Pour Les Selections De La Qualite' in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. And is the seventh and
final bottle released in the Gold Medal Decanter collection.

This is a limited edition crystal decanter made by Lenox for The Tennessee Squire
Association. It is hand signed by Master Distiller Jimmy Bedford and is available only in the Squire Room at the Jack Daniel's
Distillery in Lynchburg,Tennessee.

All Early American Art (Tennessee Type) Devotees are hereby united in fellowship
and invited to "SIP" with their discriminating fellow Squires. They are also Commended, wherever they may be for their considered
prejudice in favor of limestone water, and the leisurely, patient ways of "The Hollow". May they always ride an easy-walking
horse, sleep 'neath a rain-tight roof, and eat high on the hog every day of the year.

The Squire Room
The Squire Room at the Jack Daniel's Distillery opened on May 8,2000
as part of the new visitor center. It is designed to make you feel the true "Tennessee Squire Experience."
When you come to the Visitor Center, be sure to let the fine people
at the desk know you are a Squire, they will take care of the rest.

Clint Bowyer finished 7th Saturday night at Bristol in the Sharpie 500.
This moves him up to 12th place in the Sprint Cup Points Chase.
